For a complete listing of qualifications visit www.asaecenter.org.
What are the benefits?
Earning the CAE credential is the hallmark of a committed association professional. It helps drive professional self-confidence, opens doors, creates connections, and offers widespread value and recognition for certificants.
How can I obtain the CAE?
Earning and maintaining the CAE is a three-part process. Candidates must first meet eligibility requirements and submit an application. The next step is to sit for and pass the CAE exam. Once a candidate has earned the credential they must maintain it by fulfilling certification renewal requirements every three years.
What is the cost?
The application fee is $500 for ASAE members and $700 for nonmembers. The fee must be submitted with the application. If you do not sit for the exam within the next 2 test dates after your application has been accepted, your application will expire and all fees forfeit. Once your application expires, you would need to reapply in order to sit for the exam. The CAE examination is offered twice annually -- on the first Friday in May and the first Friday in December. A list of study resources is available at www.whatiscae.org.
