Fall/Winter 2017

Letter from the President

Hello Members and Friends!

Thank you all for your membership with the Arizona Society of Association Executives during an eventful 2017!

Your support and contributions help make AzSAE the place to network, learn, and share resources while experiencing Arizona’s best venues and meeting spaces. As the year ends, I’m proud to say that your AzSAE Board of Directors, committee volunteers, and AMC staff remain committed to making sure AzSAE meets your needs in 2018 and beyond. I’m looking forward to our future events, including the upcoming AzSAE Gala on December 13th. Join us as we honor our best and brightest!

I encourage you to engage with the association—attend our lunch and mixer events, use our online resources, take advantage of our annual Getaway and Member meeting. Making new contacts for association business needs and a professional network has added value to my position and helped me do a better job year after year.

It has been a pleasure working with the AzSAE Board of Directors and the energy and professionalism of our board members was fantastic. The support offered from Karolyn and Darryl (Meetings & Concierges Source, LLC., our AMC) helped tremendously in keeping our events and administration on-track. The Board worked hard this year to survey members, analyze partnerships and events, and took on strategic planning in November. The upcoming year will have much in store for Arizona’s association professionals. I look forward to Debbie Webber’s leadership as President and our new Board’s initiatives!

Key Partner Spotlight

Arizona Society of Association Executives (AzSAE) Board Member Michelle Huebner (WeKoPa Resort & Conference Center) recently caught up with one of our Key Partners, Julie Fletcher of Enterprise Bank. We asked Julie to tell us about herself and why she enjoys working for Enterprise Bank.

Who has inspired you in your life, and why?

There have been many. But my grandmother was my greatest inspiration. She taught me kindness. She never said anything bad about anyone. She loved and appreciated her every day moments.  She was also a very strong and independent women, ahead of her time. She did what she wanted; she graduated from college in the 1920's then headed to California. She wanted to learn to surf, so she did!  I wanted to be just like her when I grew up.

Why did you decide to become a Key Partner with AzSAE?

I wanted to become a more active member of the association. Being a key partner provided this. It also provided the opportunity to market Enterprise's association-centered services in a stronger much more efficient way.

How do our AzSAE members specifically benefit from working with you and Enterprise Bank?

We track down the signers annually! I've been told that is the number one benefit we offer. We package our signature card program with a custom deposit solution that provides treasury management services most often needed, at a competitive price, along with and assigned Relationship Manager for direct access and quick responses to questions or concerns.

What are the top three factors you would attribute to Enterprise Bank’s success?

Customer service, customer service, customer service :)

Can you teach us something that members may not know about banking?

Establishing as solid relationship with your banker opens the doors to opportunities that may not have been available without them. We are connectors to not just financial resources and potential new members too. When we understand your needs, we can make banking a better experience.
