Learn how to budget your time and funds more effectively and glimpse at how professional meeting planners pull their events and programs together.

About Our Speakers

Kate Christensen, CMP, DMCP is the founder and a partner of Phoenix based Katherine Christensen & Associates, Inc., (KCA); Kate & Company Events and the hip yet historic wedding and event venue, SoHo63.  She launched the PR and Events division of America West Airlines (1984-91), (now American Airlines), then started KCA. She has been listed in the Phoenix Business Journal’s Top 25 Meeting and Event professionals for over 20 years.

KCA currently manages over 20 professional and trade associations along with handling their respective events globally, nationally, regionally and of course within Arizona. With a seasoned staff of 19, Christensen has worked with large and small corporations, associations, and community and philanthropic clients.

Jamie Cook, CMP, CMM, CIS
, is a strategic, creative and detail oriented meeting planner with over 25 years of proven experience in corporate & incentive meeting planning and event management.

She has served multiple leadership positions including Chapter President for the AZ Sunbelt Chapter of Meeting Professionals International. Awarded the Mentor, Planner of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awards throughout her career.

Barbara Ozenbaugh, CMP, CAE, CEO, Seaside Event and Non-Profit Management, has been an event planner and association executive for more than 20 years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Management, from San Diego State University, and in 2000, her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation, and in 2013, her CAE designation. In 2016, she partnered with Avery Murphy, LLC to provide site selection and hotel contract negotiation services to her association, government and corporate clients. She is an active member of SPIN (Senior Planner Independent Network), and CalSAE.  In the Fall of 2017, she was honored by SPIN as one of their inaugural “40 Over 40” meeting industry professionals.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations and Refund requests must be received in writing to 72 hours prior to an event. No refunds will be issued within 72 hours of the event. All no-shows will be charged and/or invoiced.
